How Norwegian data centers can reduce the world's CO2 emissions

The government's new data center strategy will make Norway an even more attractive destination for data centers. Today data centers comprise three percent of the world's energy use. In Norway, data centers run on renewable energy, therefore the country will be part of the solution to one of the world's largest environmental challenges.

"The government should be praised for making an effort for the data centre industry in the Nordics. We are both expanding and improving our own data centres, so that DigiPlex and Norway can help reduce the world's CO₂ emissions," says CEO of DigiPlex, Gisle M. Eckhoff.
