Location is the key
The starting point for data centre security and risk minimisation is location. Safe, secure, minimum risk and accessibility are top of the list of priorities.
Latest generation security systems provide intruder-proof access control. Since our operations commenced, we have never had a breach of physical security in any DigiPlex data centre.
The physical isolation and strength of a data centre infrastructure is crucial. Our data centres are protected with concentric rings of security, to safeguard customer equipment including:
- state-of-the-art dual perimeter fencing
- ‘man-trapped’ reception areas
- Iris Retina Recognition
- access controlled suites, caged areas and lockable racks
DigiPlex specifications provide quality standards for all elements of this overall physical security hierarchy, including:
- 24/7 manned security
- monitored CCTV
- access-control devices
- customer unique arrangements
DigiPlex operational security means the permanently assured uptime of customer equipment. This means uninterruptible power supplies and constantly controlled data hall environments.
We build our data centres with what are known as 'concurrent maintainable infrastructure systems'.
