“Redundant N+1 UPS” means the provision of uninterruptible power supply

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) enables our customers equipment (server) load to remains supported with ‘clean’ continuous power  should national utility supplies become irregular or fail altogether. UPS systems  also protect customer  IT Housing loads from  damage from ‘out of tolerance’ mains supply conditions, spikes, dips or surges in the primary mains  power source.

UPS contains an energy store such as a battery or rotating flywheel that is used to provide continuity power whilst a secondary power source, typically standby generator is brought into service.

DigiPlex electrical infrastructures  arrange a low voltage power supply to all IT Housing Customer Area(s) in a redundant maintainable N+1 UPS configuration.  Customer equipment power supply is delivered through a High Voltage incoming utility supply, transformed to Low Voltage, reinforced with a standby diesel generator, distributed to a redundant maintainable N+1 UPS system separated into dual power connection points to which Customer equipment is connected.

“Redundant N+1 UPS” means the provision of uninterruptible power supply from one power supply system built up in ‘blocks’ sufficient to meet the customer  load, backed up with one spare module. “Maintainable UPS” means capable of being maintained under pre-planned conditions using an alternative redundant module or alternative power supply source without complete interruption of the IT Housing power supply service.
