DigiPlex, the secure Data Centre provider, has completed the first phase of its second centre in Norway. It is not only up and running but fully occupied.

The Rosenholm site – which was built in conjunction with IBM - provides 2 x 200 sqm high quality, high density data centre modules. DigiPlex customers moved in in stages over May to June 2010.

The top-of-the-line specification includes room-in-room fire-rated modules capable of up to 3 kW/m² power load density.

The build-out also included new central supporting infrastructure, UPS and generators – specifically 3 x 500 kVA UPS, 3 x 1.1 MVA diesel UPS, associated switchboards and overhead bus bar power distribution. In addition, 17 dual coil direct expansion in-room cooling units with integral free cooling capability deliver on-target environmental conditions.

Rosenholm, situated in a different part of Oslo, effectively offers a remote back-up (or indeed a primary) location for customers operating at DigiPlex Ulven.
