DigiPlex established its European presence in 2002 with the acquisition of Data Centre sites in London, Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, Oslo and other hub cities. Live Data Centre operations first commenced in 2002, serving customers in Germany, Norway and the UK.
In this same year, we along with our global peers suffered the turbulence of the collapse of the Dot Com bubble. Undeveloped sites were sold for alternative use, allowing us to focus on London and Scandinavia.DAs economic conditions worsened, the company sold its London Data Centre on a turn-key basis to Deutsche Bank Group as a core operations site.
For the period 2003-2010, DigiPlex was wholly centred in Scandinavia, where it steadily built a solid base of government and commercial customers. High service standards and dedicated technical support led to growth of operations into additional accommodation and sites.
In 2010, DigiPlex opened negotiations for new Data Centres in the Nordic region and the UK. The UK London 1 Data Centre opens in Q3 2011.
